First Trimester & Morning Sickness

5 WEEKS

Oh dear heavens, writing this post honestly gives me PTSD. I am so glad morning sickness is over... which btw is not at all only in the "morning." Before I got pregnant, I heard people talk about morning sickness or feeling tired all the time, but never realized how miserable those first couple of months actually are until I went through them. Honestly, it feels like a blur and thank the Lord daily that it's passed. Now I only feel pregnant when I have to get dressed, roll out of bed or sneeze/cough/ move my abs a certain way- hello dissecting abs, you're painful! I'm not complaining and so thankful to be having a baby, but I could definitely do without 4 months of sickness lol! Comes with the package, I know, and to all my friends and you all that have told me were constantly vomiting or sick the whole pregnancy, my whole heart goes out to you!! I can't even begin to imagine and hope that this post helps at least alleviate some "morning" sickness even if it just makes it a little bit more bearable.

How I Stopped Shaving My Legs

SimplyLovely Weekly Roundup (5/3 to 5/10)

How are we almost halfway through May!?!? Time is going by SO fast!! Last week was a blur, but super busy/fun hence the absence of last week's roundup. My brother (he's in med school) was in town for a few days so I spent last Friday with him at Carowinds. Every year year there are middle school (and maybe high school) band competitions where schools in the state spend the day at Carowinds to have their performance and then ride rides all day. Well, unknowingly we went the same day of the competitions and there were kids everywhere! I mean packed haha! Fun fact, we actually were both in band way back when and got to do the same thing haha! Needless to say, the lines were super long because the groups were huge and we didn't want to waste the day waiting only to ride a few rides. We upgraded to fast passes which cost more than the tickets themselves (eyeroll) but it made for such a fun day! The longest we had to wait was maybe ten minutes on a ride and so thankful for the time we got to spend together! We were always pretty close growing up so it's nice getting to spend time together in the midst of our busy lives. Anyways, the next day was the surprise party for one of my husband and I's best friend. I was in charge of decorating, so Saturday was spent running around getting all that together! You all LOVED!!! the balloon arch so I'll link all the details I used below. Anyways, that's enough for a life update or I could go on forever!

HAPPY WEEKEND!!!

I'm so happy I'm off this weekend, but boy oh boy is this Friday rough! I have a to-do list a mile long and zero energy to do it! I have to do a call shift every schedule period and this week it was Monday and then had my regular 12 hour shifts on Tuesday and Wednesday. Crazy me was like, well I have to do three days in a row so might as well do one more and go into overtime hahah! And well, here we are four days later and my body is not my friend today lol and we signed up for a 5k tomorrow so that's going to be fun haha! Anyways, last weekend we went around a few countertop stores and think we found "the one" for our kitchen! I loved one in particular on the sample board, but when we saw the full slab, there were specs in it that I was not a fan of and although it was still the best out of all we saw, I hated having to settle for that one. That was until we walked out of the warehouse and saw one being lifted up and oh my goodness is it a beauty! It was a newer one they didn't have a sample out yet. I can't wait to show you guys!!!
